After the inventory, create a three-level plan of action to be taken
(high, medium and low risk). Establish clear procedures for members in case of danger to persons, the environment, etc.

Scraping, sanding and maintenance operations on own boat<\/b><\/h2><\/div><\/div>
\n

During bottom scraping and bottom painting, the paint residues shall be collected for disposal. This is particularly true for older wooden boats where lead monoxide may be present. Put a tarp under the boat or cover the ground with construction plastic to collect sanding and paint residue.<\/p>\n

Leave the collected residues as hazardous waste in the environmental shed. Suck up the scraping residue immediately after scraping with a coarse vacuum cleaner.<\/p>\n

During sanding operations, the boat should be covered to prevent the spread of sanding dust. In this case too, the ground must be covered. Tip: Wet sand or use a sanding machine connected to a vacuum cleaner.
